Touchamp for Android

Privacy Policy

Touchamp is a music player for Android. It plays audio files that are already on your device. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it.

Information Touchamp does not collect

Touchamp contains no advertising libraries, no analytics or telemetry SDKs, and no crash-reporting service of its own. Specifically, it does not collect:

• your name, email address, phone number or any other contact details;
• any account or sign-in credentials — Touchamp has no accounts to sign in to;
• your location;
• your contacts, calendar, photos, messages or call history;
• your device's advertising identifier, or any identifier that could track you across other apps or websites — the one identifier Touchamp does use is described under Software updates, and never leaves that purpose;
• a record of what you listen to, when, or how often.

Touchamp does not sell or share any information with third parties for advertising, marketing or any other purpose, because it does not gather any to share.

Your music files

Touchamp plays audio files you choose yourself. When you add music, Android's own file picker asks you to select the files or folder; Touchamp receives access only to what you pick. It reads those files in order to decode and play them, and to read the title, artist and album tags that it displays.

Your audio files are never uploaded, copied off your device, or transmitted anywhere. Touchamp does not modify or delete them.

Information stored on your device

Touchamp saves a small amount of data in its own private storage area so that it can remember where you left off:

• your playlist — the list of tracks you have added, and their order;
• your settings, including the selected skin, equalizer settings and volume;
• cached artwork and decoded skin images, to make the app start faster.

This data stays in Touchamp's private app storage on your device. It is not transmitted anywhere, and no one else can read it. Uninstalling Touchamp deletes all of it. You can also clear it at any time from Android's Settings → Apps → Touchamp → Storage.

Software updates

Touchamp can receive small over-the-air updates without a full reinstall from the Play Store. To make this work, the app asks an update server operated by Expo whether a newer version is available.

That request sends:

• your device's IP address, as any network request necessarily does;
• the platform and the version of Touchamp you are running;
• an installation identifier — a random number generated the first time Touchamp runs and stored on your device, which lets the update service tell one installation from another so it can roll updates out gradually.

The installation identifier is not derived from your device's hardware, is not the advertising ID, and is not shared with any other app. It is not connected to your name, your email address or any account, because Touchamp has none of those. Uninstalling Touchamp destroys it; reinstalling generates a new, unrelated one.

Touchamp sends nothing else — not your music, not your playlist, not your settings and not your listening activity. Expo's handling of these requests is covered by Expo's privacy policy.

This is the only network request Touchamp makes.

Google Play

Touchamp is distributed through Google Play. Google collects certain information in the course of distributing the app — installs, uninstalls, and, if you have opted in on your device, crash and performance diagnostics. That collection is Google's, is governed by Google's privacy policy, and happens whether or not you ever open Touchamp. Any crash reports shared with us through Google Play are aggregated and do not identify you.

Permissions

Touchamp requests the following Android permissions, and uses each only for the stated purpose:

Children

Touchamp is not directed at children, and it collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Your rights

Touchamp has no accounts and no user database, so there is no profile of you for us to look up, export or correct. Everything the app creates lives on your own device and is entirely under your control: clear it from Android's app settings, or uninstall the app to remove it, including the installation identifier described above. If you believe the update service holds a record you want removed, contact us and we will ask Expo to delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address and the "last updated" date above will change. Material changes will be noted in the Play Store release notes for the version they take effect in.
